Zoe, you never cease to amaze me! I love your narrative voice; it somehow seems WAY more expressive than your vocalized voice. You are full of insights, self-deprecating, hilarious and exuberant. And I really enjoy your comments about your mistress Marta. You picked a good owner. Even people who aren't dog-lovers will love your book.

Sally always enjoys your letters, but she said she is glad she doesn't have to dress up for holidays like you because Golden Retrievers just don't have ears as cute as yours. What's not to love from a dog's point of view. I am a friend of Zoe's and hear from her on a regular bias. I like to think of Zoe as someone that would make a great dinner date. Zoe's stories are sure to put a smile on your face! As Zoe's aunt, I'm among the folks privileged to hear from her each holiday, but reading her stories again in this book brought special delight to my snowy morning by the wood stove. Zoe's antics are as hilarious as her photos are lovely. Not every dog is this photogenic and patient, and few dog owners are as funny as Marta Amundson. Truly a fun book! Remember, "It is not that easy to balance a chicken on your head," so Zoe hopes you appreciate her sacrifice for your amusement!
